I hung around the hotel room until the dealership called that the truck was ready. They picked me up and I paid for their services after hearing how "lucky" we were.....the gear on the back of the water pump had fallen off, causing the water pump to not pump water (go figure). The miraculous part of this is that it fell onto the top of the engine and in spite of being driven for 3 days AFTER it fell off, and also 4 times for diagnostics, the gear did NOT fall into the engine!!!!
Jim was "home" by 6 and spent the evening transfering his things from my truck to his.
