Day 282 - Friday, October 23

Still 'sick'. Still have a fever, although it is a little lower. Actually, I feel a little better.

I went to town to get some groceries for Daniel to eat.

On the way home, I tried to capture the beauty of the setting sun through the bare branches of the trees.....

Day 281 - Thursday, October 22

Still 'sick'. Still have a fever.



I was supposed to go to Edmonton to spend a couple days with Victoria, Kaden and Ava but we all decided that would not be such a good idea when I am sick.



So, I stayed home.



Unfortunately, I did not feel well enough to really accomplish much - every time I went to

do anything, my mind would not work.

Daniel moved home tonight - late. He had gone to the city wide worship service first.

He is still without a job and although he was enjoying living with Mike and Tor, he could no longer pay the 'rent'. I welcome the company.

Day 280....Wednesday October 21

You may have noticed....I missed a few days.....didn't even think of pulling out my camera. tsk. tsk.

Sorry.

Last night I drove out to DV to spend the evening with my man. Although our time was short, it was nice to just be together - even if it was in a hotel room.

So, my day today started at 5 a.m. There was a fog warning for a the morning so I left as soon as Jim did in order to beat the fog. It was clear until I got to Falun, so most of the way home.

Later on, I went in to NN for the mail....a flock of swans had stopped for a rest in the field across from the village. I slowed down to take the photo, but couldn't actually stop because after all, I was on a highway.






Been fighting some kind of flu the last few days....today it seemed to be more than a threat. I was very tired (not sleepy because I got up early - but the flu-y tired) I woke up after my second nap with a bit of a fever.

Day 90.....April 1....Wednesday

Our day started with a sure sign that it is really and truly "Breakup".....Jim packed up his work computer and put it on the bus to Calgary.

While he was dealing with the bus depot, I was being pampered by my Sister......



Yep, another month has gone by already!

Later, back at the ranch, Jim attempts to stay awake until late evening - hoping to stay sleeping until a 'normal' time for getting up. (He was asleep by 6 pm the night before and then up at 3 am this morning)


I have had a bad cough this past week. Buckley's has been a help.....





....and taking my 'wheat bag' teddy bear to bed, cuddled against my chest, has helped even more than the Buckley's.

Day 65....Saturday, March 7

Jim came home last night and will be home until tomorrow morning. We went to town for 3 things:

1. Get me a new phone

2. Get Jim some over the glasses sun glasses to protect his eyes (especially since his mom and grandma both have/had macular degeneration)

3. Get a new mouse for my laptop

We picked Emma up to hang out with us, even though we would be boring, because she was getting real tired of being cooped up with a bunch of sick people.

The Telus store was closed, so no phone.

but we did get Jim the sun glasses:

Maybe not the most 'stylish', but they will protect his eyes without harming his glasses (as clip-ons will do) and without costing an arm and a leg (as perscription sunglasses will do).

We did get a mouse, as well.

Also, we visited at Rob and Lana's for a short time - very short since Jim cannot afford to catch whatever has been plaguing them for the last 2 weeks.

Ty is not sick, just getting cuter every day.

Sophia managed a smile even though she's not feeling very well.

Emma is not sick anymore. She was very glad to see her Paka, even though we did not do anything too exciting together.

Titus has grown and changed quite alot since his Grampa saw him last - about a month ago, I think.

Poor Lizzy was feeling really awful today......her poor nose is all chapped from blowing it, her lips are dry and cracked, she was not interested in anything.....she wasn't even drawing. I felt so bad for her.....

Day 57...Friday, Feb 27

Rob and Lana and their girls are sick. They have been suffering with fevers, aches, sore throats, for a week now. Today, Lana discovered one of her glands is very swollen.....so, I took her to the walk-in clinic.

We were pleasantly surprised to have to wait for only about a half hour - but I made good use of that time playing with and photographing my littlest baby boy......

Day 27.....Friday Jan 30

Went to Breakforth to listen to Vinj and Kath perform. On my way home, I went through Camrose so I could pick up my perscription.......

Told Dean about Vinj and Kath being at Breakforth - he said they would go listen to them.

Day Six - Friday January 9

Slept too late, posted on MFM and read blogs of other Fave Five posters.

Made calls to IROC and Ing and McKee.

Calling IROC – dialed 1 – 403 - …….. recording said I’d made a local 10 digit call and it could not be completed. So, I tried again without the 1….recording said I’d called a long distance #, please hang up and dial 1…..Tried again, same thing….3 times! Called the front desk, checked the number – it ws correct. What the!?

Walked on the treadmill for only 10 minutes….half mile. My hip is crippling me! Has been, all week.

Long talk with Jim.

Went to Camrose to buy BD gifts for Seth and Kaden as well as a muffin tin and some things to tempt Kathryn’s appetite. Ran into Justin St Louis.

Home at 7…..computer for ½ hour…..start cupcakes for Seth’s BD, and make myself some supper….talk to Jim while he drove back to DV (late) then finish cupcakes.
